By the way Yuri, I am fed up seeing your photos every where in advertising. I believe that your Model must now be considered a TOP MODEL cos she is in more ads world wide than any other model...I hope she gets the pay that goes with it, or does she get a micropayment,? hehe!!

When are you posting some more vids on your site...lingering!

A long time ago I suggested that they start a "latest downloads" feature (not a thread, auto-changing mini-thumbs) that would show on the photographer's page only. It would let us know, for example, whether valentines shots were being downloaded in November rather than the expected pumpkins. (just an example) This isn't so much for me, since the other top sites do have this feature, but, from the popularity of the "latest download" thread, I think other people are interested. Also, the latest download threads are the only place where many new/different people post. Most of us on this forum are the usual suspects. If it is moved to a separate thread, I will look at the most recent posts--you can skip to the last page--because I enjoy seing what new folks are doing. Just my opinion. Also--what is "interesting"? Fifi? Why did I get rejected? We hate America? Technical threads are interesting, but there haven't been any for a long time.

I suggested a separate pimping forum (that should not make the frontpage).

Would make it much more pleasant

I love seeing everyone's work and seeing what's selling, and have greatly enjoyed discovering the work of Mustang and africa to name but two. I almost always have a spike in sales after doing a little pimping, and since I'm not as established as some of you, I really need it. Though I joined in May '08, I never uploaded till Jan. '09 and my portfolio is small compared to some of yours. Some of us need to try to get noticed among the crowd any way we can.

Having too many DLs in a day to be able to keep up? HAH I wish. What annoys one is enjoyable or useful for another. Oh, and I seem to recall one or two of you anti posters in here have pimped your own work a time or two. If you don't like it, don't read it. If you want to knock it out of the top 4, keep posting here. Don't kill me, but I will now go and post my newest image. And hey, come to think of it, it can also go in the "Show your humorous images" thread. Maybe someone will buy it and I can make enough to buy a candy bar. Yay.

I agree with you in many ways...there was no arrogance intended...but it feels as though the forum page never changes.

In any case, I am glad that this post reached the LATEST IN FORUMS, and got a little attention, even though it did not knock out any of the SHOW ME threads.

well, sorry to admit I started most of them 4 years ago. if ya look, 90% are from newbies trying to show there stuff and most for some reason think it's a new thing. a special place for them would be nice but, Don't hold your breath guys. people need validation by showing there work to anyone that will look and to see it on a website, Any website.Kinda like pimping. There are a lot of buyers who are submitters also and I can understand a few sales every now and then if it's really good useful work but most of the time it's just Vanity posting. Show me's are gonna be around forever. I suggest getting over it. Start an interesting original thread and it will take off.Thats the only recourse.

Even this subject comes around every 6 months.LOL

I would like to see Show me's that are educational with examples of techniques or tips.Or the stories behind the making of a particular Image.

Excellent idea and I couldn't agree more. But killing it is like having the free speech to ban free speech! And I would bet most all the contributors to this thread (including myself) have been a part of the show-me threads. Kill it still--I'm for it.

What if the world's most popular microstock photographer says delete all of your work from microstock sites?

Well, Yuri is only one of users, not a manager.

Say, New York Yankees' Hideki Matsui is an MVP, the Most Valuable Player, but he still has no right to decide whether Yankees re-signs himself or not. He is only one of players, not a manager.
