Course you could probably hear me throwing my wireless mouse around because this stooopid 3d render won't come out right.
*DUCK!* |
So that 3D stuff is hard to learn Anita? I have not dared yet, but it looks so dam* cool! |

It's a little bit of a pain at first especially if you run across a tutorial where they automatically assume that you know all the keyboard shortcuts. It's not terribly diffucult but can be a bit time consuming.
Never hurts to jump in and play around with the program. I was afraid of it for awhile but am starting to get the hang of it. I'm not at the point where I can make a car or a human yet but every little step I do and the more that I work with the program.
Look out for a pm :) |

hmm... are there any freeware 3d programs? I'm not sure if I want to tackle that, so I'd want to 'test drive' first. ;) |

Try following a tutorial. You won't come out of the other end with a file to sell, but you'll be doing something. |
Thanks for that idea theo, I think maybe that this could be my way forward. I shall start with a very simple tutorial just to get myself back in the swing of using illustrator again without having to think up a creation of my own. Also I might start to get some ideas of my own once again, who knows eh.
I thought I was ready to start designing again but what I did notice was that there was no excitement in me like there used to be. I used to get an idea and couldn't wait to get on the computer to start creating my idea, that is what is lacking right now. |

Hey Toots, I'm glad Theo posted some positive and reinforcing suggestions before me. I was going to suggest you walk over to the door and whang your head against the edge of it 5-6 times. Or at least until you begin seeing things float around your head, Then, draw those things.
But, maybe you should stick with Theo's suggestions. |
Already tried that Evan, didn't work, everything went black. Don't think there's much call for a black square in microstock, let alone getting it past the reviewers. |

Evan - Me? Useful? Never. I demand you take that back this instant.
Toots - You can only try. As I say - you are ALWAYS allowed another go.
Anita - I was trying to learn Blender (again) but I sort of stopped after shrieking 'For the love of f***, will you stop saying "Ah, no, I, er, didn't mean to do that, I'll just, er...hang on a second" every 5 minutes?!' That and I couldn't think of anything to draw.
Anyway, Brazil needs a calendar. Part of a calendar:

I was doing that last night too. All these damn ideas on paper and I lack the skeeeeeells to complete. I'm still trying to get the hang of it myself. Takes time course with me and all that I have to contend with these days time is in short supply.
Meanwhile somewhere in the southern US...
