I know it's not me, however, I've been to a few countries ... Spain, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Holland (Netherlands) etc. And of course most places in UK because I live here.

So how well travelled are you? If you are in the US, going to another state doesn't count ;-) Or does it?

`Question is guys... how long did you spend... in each country..??.. were they just flying visits.. or was there an extended period.?

I'm of the opinion that anything less than 3 months is not enough to get to know a country and its culture..

And the more you know it, the better and more diverse the photos will be.

Since the title of the thread is well travelled photographer... I can't add me to the list, because while I have always photographed and travelled, I would say it is only since the digital era that I would consider myself a photographer... and the country list is not that long.

3 months for each country? just for Europe this would be over 12 years!!! If you want to create a book - yes. To have fun and learn I guess week or two is fine.

Hmm
Before we travel to a destination we always look thing up read a lot of books and do some internet investigation....
I think traveller people know sometimes more of a foreign country than the people them self.
Some will know the country after a week some will never learn the country even if they life in it
for a long time.

I think that travellers see the beauty in each new country while people of that country doesn't see any more the beauty of it.
