Don't speak too soon, Snow, like I did... I resubmitted my "Unable to Process" clips and they said "Pending" for a while, then switched the Unable to Process. I use WS_FTP -- I really cannot imagine how the FTP program you use has anything to do with it. I think SS is having processing problems and they are trying to iron them out, all the while we are slamming them with clips and they are having trouble digging out!

Good luck!

For how long will they be pending? Are they still pending or now are they Unable to process?

Mine are both -- I have 3 that are "Pending" but 9 more than were Unable to Process until I deleted them. I am going to try to process my clips through VirtualDub as JubalHarshaw suggested and see what happens. They have been Pending for about 4 days now. The Unable to Process message came after about 2 days of sitting there "Pending."

Bizarre... oh well... like I said before, we're just going to have to be patient until SS works out all the kinks.

Oh Heck, I don't know anymore. I'm about to give up. I posted that message about FileZilla and then went back and my files were also unable to process. I have uploaded something like 15 different video files over the last several months. None of them have ever recieved any responce. They have never came back and said they were rejected or approved. I am using the right equipment. Now, I have 3 pending for 2 weeks and no answer. I sure wish they would look at mine and let me know if any of them are right so, I would know what is the best way to process. For now I am just going to give up on it.

OMG I am just about to that point too... this is a record... I uploaded a clip which finished not 10 minutes ago and already it says UNABLE TO PROCESS! Before I even got the email confirming the upload! I "cleaned up" the clip using VirtualDub (although i am not entirely convinced this was needed, since they have accepted 12 of my clips already with the same camera, formatting and codecs that the ones that have been unable to process have used)... and obviously that didn't help.

I know this is a ShutterStock computing problem but hey guys, why don't you just halt all uploads until you can get a tech in on this? This is getting frustrating, even for us most patient of people. The upload time is enormous and I'm sure the disk space on your server is too...

Do us a favor and keep us posted with announcements in the forums!

suwanneeredhead, I had that too directly after uploading. Wait 20 minutes and hit refresh.
Mine came then up with pending

Thanks Chris... that wouldn't surprise me with the way the gallery number changes all the time, back and forth from 12 to 0... but so far everything is still "unable to process" in my pending queue.

I'm going to go and do something else for a while.

Well all, I was about to give up on mine too and low and behold SS reviewed my clips. All rejects and one approved. Now, I can't remember what method I used to process that one. But, anyhoo I am happy I got one right.

Thanks Shutterstock for reviewing my clips.

Stats area has a new tab: By footage clip. So, I think someone already made a sale at least. Who? What?

I submitted a few videos when they first announced the footage. A handful were rejected. All the ones that weren't rejected are now labeled "Unable To Process". And my front page has read:

Footage Clips In Gallery: 0
Waiting To Be Submitted: 0
Waiting To Be Reviewed: 0

Just today I uploaded 5 new video clips all in one batch. For a few hours it said:

Footage Clips In Gallery: 0
Waiting To Be Submitted: 0
Waiting To Be Reviewed: 5

Now it says:

Footage Clips In Gallery: 0
Waiting To Be Submitted: 0
Waiting To Be Reviewed: 3

When I click on "Waiting To Be Reviewed" the details for 10 different clips show up. Which is all of the clips I have submitted that were not rejected.

When I click on "Status Of Submitted Footage" it says I have 2 batches pending, each with 5 footage clips. However, both of the batches are *ed as Unable To Process.

ANYWAY, here is my question...

When the first batch was *ed as Unable To Process, it showed up that I had 0 clips waiting to be reviewed.

My new batch of 5 clips from today is *ed as Unable To Process, but it says I have 3 clips waiting to be reviewed.

Does this mean that only 2 of the clips in the batch are unable to process? Are the rest ok? Or is the whole batch unable to process?

Has anyone had any clips at all approved?

Yes, I have had 12 approved... but I have the same problem in my stats, there are 10 clips in there but it says I have 3 pending (then when I click on it, 7 of them are Unable to Process). Those numbers are all over the map, don't pay any attention to them until they settle down and SS can work out the bugs! I can see why they're silent, we're all a buncha buzzin' bees out here watching our stats pages like hawks.

Maybe we should all go & do something else for a while...

Like shoot more footage? So that we'll have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of clips all lined up and ready to be submitted as soon as this whole thing gets straightened out??

I am really surprised that the admins have not posted a heads up, or an explaination on what they are doing.

Just leaving us all hanging and wasting time uploading unuseable video is just plain frustrating. *sigh*
