This is the next in my pet therapy series.......I'm not sure if the b/g is too light though. I like it, but then I would cos I'm biased LOL

Would really appreciate your opinions

thanks

I just gotta say I LOVE the white dove in youre gallery!
Just the kind of photo that i like, animals in movement. Espacially in flight.
Yes i know that it had nothing to do with youre question but still =)

I think the background is pretty much fine. Though it could maybe be a little darker.

I don't like this image though because...
1) It seems oddly cropped
2) The people could have a prominent role, the hands come from odd directions.

Thankyou Chris, it's really great to get an honest opinion :))

It's difficult getting these shots where it shows the animals and people, but not their identity. They are all taken in resthomes, not an appropriate situation to ask for model release forms to be signed. I have some lovely shots that I put onto disc and take up to the homes for the families.

thanks again

Hi Sue,

I think it is a great shot. I agree the BG is a bit bright in the top left, and would love to see one with only the one hand on the right hand side. I think there is a stronger shot there by cropping in quite tight on just the right hand side hand.[img] Something like this. Also rather than seeing a rest home as a difficult place to ask for model releases, I think just the opposite. It is obvious from the pictures you are creating that you have a deep felt interest in the subject. I'm sure if you explained why you are taking the pictures and supplied the subjects, both residents and pet owners with prints many(more than would say no) would be happy to sign releases. However if that was the case to be perfectly honest you would do much, much better supplying these images to a rights protected library(no offence to SS). In fact I submit work to a very good one based in Christchurch, if you sitemail me off forum I would be happy to pass on the details.

All the best

Steve[/img]

PS: hope you dont mind me playing with your image.

although the original image was endearing i found it a little flat. the dog's face is cute but not enough to be the only face in the picture (a side shot on top of that). i have to say that i LOVE the newly cropped version. it's more about old and young and the texture of her hand against the texture of the dogs fur. it has nice big blocks of shade to make a bolder composition. nice eye! great teamwork!

I like it. I think it is good stock.

It is a little flat, but there is a story being told. The hands are beautiful. My 2 cents.
