What do you guys think of the alexa toolbar?
it will help boost our ratings to get more sales for everybody if we all run it...
and, has a handy back-to-shutterstock button on it...

i would like to create my own toolbar that has your stats built into it..
and have them updated as you guys go... with a shutterstock search box on it.. maybe ill have a developer build that.

Welcome to the club! We started our own photography studio this summer and it's 50-miles-a-minute.

You're doing it tho! The sales are coming. The photogs are coming. Everyone is cruising! The work you guys put in is amazing. Good work.

I've never used Alexa ... I seem to remember there being some privacy issues with it so I've never installed it or even checked it out.

Maybe for those of us completely unfamiliar with it you could post a brief description of what it does/advantages ... I'm assuming it's "safe" or you wouldn't have put it here : )

The toolbar looks interesting but I'm not sure it needs to be advertised on Every Single Page. Maybe just on the front page?

Jon,

What about a extension for those using FireFox? Is that a possibility perhaps later?

I have no problem running it -- so they get data on where i surf!

The more people have it installed, the higher my alexa ranking gets, and the more people will eventually visit and purcahse memberships

Jon -

Here's the disturbing part, though:

Quote:
"ALEXA'S TOOLBAR SERVICE COLLECTS AND STORES INFORMATION ABOUT THE WEB PAGES YOU VIEW, THE DATA YOU ENTER IN ONLINE FORMS

If it collects and stores the information that you enter into forms, it would be collecting your credit card information if you order online...

I do understand (and respect) what you are trying to do, but Alexa's policies have made me uneasy from the start.
