Is a battery included when buying a new camera (I am looking at the D90) "body only"?
From looking at http://www.europe-nikon.com/en_GB/products/product_details.page?sParamValueLbl=Digital%20Cameras&sParam1ValueLbl=SLR&sSubnav2ParamLbl=Consumer&sSubnav3ParamLbl=D90&ParamValue=Digital+Cameras&Subnav1Param=SLR&Subnav2Param=Consumer&Subnav3Param=0&RunQuery=l3&ID=1617 under "included accessories" I would assume it is.
But marketing a "body only" plus a battery at http://www.abc-digital-cameras.co.uk/shop/product.php?xProd=11239&a=cpb for an extra £40 makes me uncertain.
Can someone confirm that it will be included?

I have heard that there are some dealers that are not very good that would not include the battery, thereby baiting you by with advertising a lower price, and making up the difference or more by charging for a battery. And possibly a battery charger if they are really bad.

Thus I think it is a case by case basis.

If the prices seems to good to be true, then it probably is.

All the body only kits from reputable dealers that I have seen include a battery.

Ok, thanks. I've sent this particular dealer an email to ask.

This is on their website under the specifications tab. You can see it here but you have to read down the page.

Also, it is extremely unusual in the UK for kit of this sort to be sold without battery and charger although I understand it is quite common in US.

Body only in the UK means without a kit lens.
