I currently have my work on 4 sites and was wondering if Alamy is worth the trouble? FNC I know I can't compare our portfolios, but I was wondering how you are doing over there? Any info would be greatly appreciated :)

I havent sold much with Alamy yet because all that is there right now is the 13 test images you send in for them to look and evaluate your work. (you can send up to 15 no smaller than 49mg .tiffs) If the images pass they'll will go a head and allow you to keyword them and start your portfolio with them.

Alamy has a huge library (many of the "photographers" are companies with multiple professionals working at uploading and only having 13 doesnt begin to have anything to show for it.

The process is you send your CD with images (no electronic uiploads) to Great Brittian (roughly) where they are located and once they have the CD, they review it within 14 days (usualy about 16) and show you your approved and rejected, you can keyword the approved and submit them and then it takes 24 hours or so to show up in the library.

I have 6 CDS on the way to them....ill have to revisit this later with diferent results when my library is bigger.

Shipping time +14 days + 24hours....

and people here complain that it takes upto 5 days here sometimes.

Its baised on what royalty rights you choose when you sign up and how you license the images.

Go to their site and look at it's structure.

Thanks for the info Dewayne...I have nothing to loose, so I'll give them a try, but having to mail them a CD on the internet age really sucks :)
