Just picked up my new book--hot off the press! Nothing like seeing the finished product to give you motivation to write another one. It's a YA fiction book, part of a series for reluctant readers. It's here: http://www.tealeafpress.com/index.html (the purple one: Distant Cousin)

It just got me to thinking...selling books is not that much different from selling photos on SS. I get a very small amount of money per "download" (i.e book sale) and I ONLY GET TO CHECK MY STATS ONCE A YEAR!!! (For those unfamiliar with the publishing industry, it is standard practice for writers to get their royalties once or twice a year.)

Suddenly I am appreciating SS all that much more... *bg*

Congratulations! It's a great feeling, nonetheless, isn't it - to hold your book in print?

I finally wrote a novel. Self-published it through Lulu, along with a collection of poetry and another of short stories.

Ack - there's even an experimental audio piece out there of me reading one of my poems. Might want to skip that one... :)
