Seeing that it appears you have not had your first ten images accepted why did you only send in 8 images? The requirement is that you send in ten for your initial submission for acceptance. Also, for initial submissions it can take 7-10 days which is in the email sent to the submitter after a submission is received.

I had submitted my first ten...I had them in the wrong category and they where declined . I then resubmitted 8 new ones because I was not asked like the first time. Is the requirement 10 no matter what?? The photos I have submitted are good enough for a gallery in Montreal so I know I listed them wrong

Perhaps good enough for Montreal but may not nesessarily be good enough for SS. Each site has its own criteria.

How about some samples?

When have you submited the first 10?
If they were rejected (it's not relevent why) you must wait 30days until be able to send another 10 again.

Maybe your new 8 photos are just waiting the 30 day "probation time" until they are reviewd again.

If this is the case then i believe you must submit 10 photos ... you must submit 10 photos for your inicial review. (you are 2 photo short).

If this is not the case then write support. If you don't agree with the rejection and do not want to wait the 30 days write support.

Hello codacoda1:

You should have received an email detailing your initial portfolio review. If not, I will contact you personally soon with information.

Thank you all for your help on this..I would love to show samples but how?? and also thank you for the telling me it may be 30 days until I hear back from SS. I guess I will wait for more info from SS and put on 2 more photos. I would love to show some samples so maybe some of you may tell me where to place then in SS.

These would go in the Critique Forum. Assuming you've got Photoshop or a similar program, reduce the size of your image to no more than 500 pixels on its longest side and save a copy as a JPG. Obviously don't do this to your original. The JPG file should be no more that 250kb in size. If it is too large, reduce the quality level until it's small enough. Then when you post a message, just below where the Options are listed, is a browse button. Click on that and go to the file you just saved. Select the file and you're done. Many of us will preview the message first, before submitting it, to be sure everything came through correctly. We'll oft times ask for a 100% crop of a suspect area. I'll leave that until we've seen some images and have a better feel for what is needed.

Good luck.

you should also contact support for further details on how to handle the situation, as they've said before that your initial 10 photos are to all be in one batch. if you submit two more now, then you will have two separate batches, and it would be a shame to be rejected as a submitter because of that.
