Hello! OK I'm fairly new here (and not particularly good artist...but working on it as I get used to designing vectors) but I have had most of my vectors accepted (which is nice), then it occurred to me that I can upload the same images as jpeg (as SS don't offer a jpeg as well as vector on the same item)
Rıght? Or have I got it completely wrapped round my proverbial?
And do they sell at all, jpegs I mean?
Thanks!
(please speak slowly & clearly when replying...thank you)

yes your allowed to send in the raster (jpg) version of your vector ilustrations.
Just one thing please do it in different batches one batch vectors and one batch the raster version otherwise the reviewer think the are the same so you get a rejection reason for "similar"

Hi,
Yes it is worth submitting the jpeg as well as the eps file. I do it all the time.
@Kaycee
Hi Kaycee, not sure I agree with you on that I always upload the jpeg with the eps file. Although I do only do 1 image at a time (e.g. 1 batch = eps & jpeg).

Hi for vectors you send in eps+jpg in one batch.
for raster version just jpg in separate batch.
otherwise you get the 'similar rejection'
I know it,I got this rejection reason recent(forgot to submit in separate batch)
Some reviewers don't know the difference or are confussed by doing this in one batch. |

Hi sorry Kaycee.
I upload the vector (eps file + small jpeg) and a raster (large jpeg) in each batch.
Not sure if the process for reviewing has changed but the 2 get reviewed at different times.

I guess you are very lucky .
Maybe it has to do with the different size of your jpg versions.
I did make both version the same size and the reviewer got confussed (I think).
Some were in the submission features SS mention to submit in different batches if you want to submit vector and the raster version of it. |

@Kaycee
Oh well no wrong answer there then. Thanks Kaycee.
@cingisiz
The answer to your question was yes, it is worth submitting both a raster and a vector format. No matter how you choose to do it.

I have also never had a rejection sending them in the same batch. In fact the raster and vectors are reviewed by different reviewers and are usually approved at different times.
I think you must have been very unlucky Kaycee.
It is a good strategy to send them separately as when they appear together the vector usually is the one that sells. If you load them a couple of weeks apart you have two chances in the newest first search.

@ Kaycee
Don't be so stubborn :-P You just were unlucky.It is totally okay to send in eps+jpg and seperate jpg of the same illustration.
Done it many times, 0 rejections.
Even 2x fullsize jpg and 1 eps has always passed,without any problems.
Maybe you were uploading several illustrations which were a little bit too simular? |

I've had this rejection before, like Kaycee said, I think it was just a reviewer that got confused as it hasn't happened since. |

I'm not stubborn.
It was what I recent run into.
And before someone new was wondering why they get this rejection reason I tried to explain from my own experience.
That's all no hard feelings and definitely not STUBBORN.
And NO non were similar. |
