Jon,
Obviously, you don't have to do what I'm about to suggest, but I just think it would help us all if you did... and it would make Shutterstock stand out among the rest.
I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that I wish I could see how my work is being used. It would certainly help us promote it.
How about offering the downloader a chance to optionally write us a note and/or post us a link to the site, product advertisement, etc. where our work will be used? In other words, somehow give the downloader a clue that the photographer would like to see his/her work in use? After all, we of all people would want to get others to hit a site or view other advertisement media where our stuff is in display!
I think this is rather simbiotic and, in fact, couldn't do anything but good for all concerned.
Anyone thought about this?

No offense, but I'm guessing you, as an insider, feel the subject has been previously exhausted?
What exactly did you search for, if I may ask?

Sorry.
Nothing on that search comes even close to proposing what I'm proposing.
You alright tonight?
Keep it up, and you're going to turn this forum into something Shutterstock would not want.

It has been discussed enough times to become kinda flippant when replying, Orlando... I guess us forum junkies have an advantage if we see all the posts asking the same questions again and again - but seriously, if you just pretend there are only a dozen subscribers, that they're really forgetful, and they don't ever use what they download, that's a couple less things you need to worry about, and you can get on with shooting and submitting images... and that's where the money is, not in trying to convince people to account for what they do with the royalty free images they download... :-)
Cheers,

Stuart,
He wasn't being flippant. It's obviously just a subject none of the old-timers here want to see discussed again, including the moderator.
That's the small price a new poster pays for not doing research before posting....
Keep shooting.
Cheers,
