I would like for you all to check out my portfolio and give your honest opinion. I am really new to this and the feedback would be great.

overall, they look great. my only criticizm would be to check/fix the white balance on a couple (stroop task, vertabrae)...there's a little bit of a dingy cast that could be cleared up. But some very interesting shots - may you have many downloads! |

I agree on the spine one. But what is a stroop task?
And thank you so much for your comments. Just trying to get the best shots. Like I said, I am new at this.

Sorry about that - I'm a Psychologist...didn't mean to throw in unnecessary jargon. The top, right photo in your gallery (words for colors in colors) is used for something called a Stroop task - it's a demonstration of attention and automatic processes. Cool idea for a photo. :)
Do you have photoshop? There's a nifty shortcut for balancing the whites if you use it, in the curves panel. I'm not very familiar with other programs...I know some cameras will do it too, if you don't go for post-processing. |

My niece just gave him a bath and he was not a happy kitten. Funny, my wife says that describes her nerves. Everone is just standing on end.
Thanks for the info on Photoshop. I'm not the whiz at this that some of these guys are. I'm learning.

Some great pictures, I think you have to spend some more time on your key words. For example the rock climbing pictures, I would add words like
Danger, extreme, vertical, active, ascend, climber, climbing, granite, man, rockface, ropes, team, rockClimb, overhang
etc. |

yeah, I'm having a problem with the keywording. But the more I do it, the better it gets. I think I'll go in and add the keywording better. I know that it goes back into cue, but it is worth the effort to do it. I just started on this type of adventure and I am learning something new everyday. Thanks for the advice.
I do have a thesaurus by me side now. It helps. |
