Follows what I just wrote (first time with no reply:P, better luck now, maybe!) to shutterstock, any suggestion is welcome :)

Hallo,
it's second time writing to you trying to solve my problem, it would be nice to have an answer this time :)

I tryed to submit using my italian identity card but you answered it's not acceptable.
I've no a passport now, in europe it's pretty expansive (aroung 100 euros in italy) and we don't need it to move inside the european union!
And it also expires fastly!

What about my european driving license? Would be fine?

Have you got many european-italian contributors? How did they submits?

Please notice that I'm already an Istockphoto and fotolia contributor, if you want I can provide a link to my portfolios.
Or could you verify me using my credit card?

I'm looking forward for an answer.

thanks
aynia

About identity card: If you mean the card you can use instead of a passport and gives you entry to most European countries, then it should be possible to get accepted at SS with it. They accepted mine too.
Try to access SS directly with the question. They can solve this problem for you.

Hi Colette,

thanks for answer :)

Yes I tryed to submit my identity card, wich allows to me to travel everywhere in europe, and they said it was not ok 2 times!
There was no other problem but the fact they only wants a passport.

This is what they wrote:
"Please upload a passport which is valid for international travel. We only accept international passports. We do not accept national identity cards."

It sounded strange to me, as I know many europeans don't need a passport, that's why I'm writing here.

Maybe I'll try again with my driver license, but hey, it's a pretty unfriendly approach :(

I have similar problem with ID acceptance.
I have submited my Bosnia and Herzegovina passport which I used to travel in tree EU countries (Slovenia, Italy and Austria) and I subimted pages with visas for Schengen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_Agreement ) countries as a proof that it is passport which is valid for international travel. They did not accept it.

Why dont you just photocopy a bunch of your IDs on the same sheet of paper. Scan to pdf?
Some with a picture on, some with correct adress and some with a lot of governmental stamps?

(i used my drivers licence)

(evt also photocopy (folded or ½ hidden) a 100 Euro note as bribery)
;-)

That reminds me...
The printer guys in the basement at the company had tried to photocopy money on some of the copymashines, just to see if the mashine would do it.
But it wouldnt. They tried again and again, but the mashine refused.

I came by while they were most busy and thought Id take the piss on them and said:
"Now how smart is that? Isnt the mashine connected to the net? Dont you think its sending a mail to the police?"

Ha! Now there were some busy guys trying to get rid of the evidence.
Maybe the mashine does send a mail? who knows?
