I would not use the last part of the sausage in this manner. I think it would be better to use a longer one which will add dimension to the image. With food photography you generally need to use the best looking items you can, don't just shoot something that is left over or just happen to have laying around. Good food photography is in the details.

like it, thats exactly what I would go for when I had a few beers.
Now the composition is not optiman, it could do with one more slice. the lighting is good.
isolate it on white.

It would also take a few beers for a buyer to go for it.

How did you make the cabbages OOF? PP? Seems that the focus transition from the salami to the cabbages is kind of abrupt. Or maybe this was shot with a tele? I'm trying to learn this technique. Thanks.

Oh I see. Thanks. So it's done in PS. I was just wondering since the abrupt transition from the far end of the salami to the OOF cabbage seems to be impossible with just the effective use of DOF or I maybe missing something here?
