Christmas eve or Christmas morning? In our family, it was always Christmas eve. In my wife's family it was always Christmas morning. When we married, we compromised--and did it her way. Was my family truly strange, or do others open presents on Christmas eve? Just curious.

We used to open one on Christmas eve than the rest on Christmas Day, but this year my daughter wanted an IPOD and cash, and my husband wanted a few gift cards....Myself, I asked for cash to travel and study with Rinder....so there will be no boxes to open this year for any of us...!!!

For my husband and I, sometime on Christmas day. Whenever the whole family is together - usually it's Christmas morning (ie: before noon).

My husband's family was always 3:00 in the afternoon after my father-in-law got home from work. My kids used to hate it when we spent Christmas there.

In my dad's family Christmas always began at midnight on the 24th, after they got home from mass. We opened gifts then, and had a meal after that.
