hi admin,
i'm getting a message on shutterstock to fill in a form. i thought as a country without tax treaty we don't have to fill in any forms ?

may i know what is the new requirement for non-us,non-treaty submitters ?

Yeah... I just got an e-mail too. It just says:

Dear [My name],
We're waiting on your tax form.

No name signing off, no form attached and no other information. I've no idea what it's about or what form I should be submitting. I assume it's an electronic notice, if not a hack.

guys i filled the form. after that it never shows up anymore. life goes on normally +30% tax :D

the forms are all there. as u login, you should see a notice at the top about filling up the tax form.

I figure we malaysians must fall into group A3 as Malaysia is not a country that has a tax treaty with the U.S. So it's form W-8BEN that says we're subject to 30% withholding tax! gee... that's a lot!

All these legal terms are making my head spin... Yuliang, what's Notional Principal Contract? Did you have to tick anything on Part II??

i got payment USD128++,ald tax me USD14++.
and just 0.25 per dl,oh my god,it waste how much my effort!

Guys, can some one help me...I'm about to fill in the form, but not sure how to fill question number 6-8:

6. U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number (SSN or ITIN EIN )
7. Foreign tax identifying number, if any (optional)
8. Reference number(s) (optional) (see instructions)

Do we have to fill the above? I read in the Tax Centre that since we are foreign submitters who does not have tax treaty, so we don't need to get SSN or ITIN numbers right? And what do you type in the Reference Number?

Hi all Malaysian out there, I new in Shutterstock, I am from Penang, just joined Dec 2009. I am curious, do you all get yr payment in check, or you all using Pay Pal, which one is better? Anyone help?

hi guys,

need to ask my fellow malaysians. have you receive any letter from shutterstock?
i've just receive a letter from shutterstock : Form 1042 - S

the header is FOREIGN PERSON U.S. SOURCE INCOME SUBJECT TO WITHHOLDING.

i don't know what to do with it.
Fill in the form? ignore it?
