Hey Hey Hey
What a Great Site ShutterStock is!
I love having a way to sell my images so easily.
How do I (ok we, but me mostly) get in the Featured Lightboxes section on the front page?
Perhaps if it was a rotating images section of diffrent images (with some of mine of course, hint hint) sales would even be better than they already are.

I think though that Michael is right... I mean Shutterstock home page looks a little boring and not so appealing (I might be wrong though) to me. Maybe if you made a change in the pictures more often it would make it more interesting for future custumers... And I was thinking that maybe you should consider single sales too: I mean, what happens if someone just needs a few pics a month that would get cheaper than the monthly cost? You would loose him. Maybe a difference from other stock sites would be just to make a single price for all versions... Sorry, I used to be a marketing manager before and sometimes when you do something for a long time, it is hard to forget...

I think you've raised some very valid points there. The images on the front page do not do this site justice IMHO. There is much more variety inside than is being demonstrated.

Obviously 'the Editors' should select them, rather than them being on request, but some 'Images of the Week' would be a way of illustrating what this site has to offer and would also give recognition and promotion of the featured photog's work.

I believe there's 5000-odd new images every week __ well let's show some of them off!

I think the option to buy individual images at a 'Non-Subscriber' rate must be well worth thinking about. I've got a buddy who is in printing and has an occasional need for images. He is delighted that I've told him about this type of facility (he didn't know it existed) but I've had to direct him to another site as his need would not warrant the subscription rate. There must be millions of potential 'occasional' customers like him who we are currently not able to help.

Yea - We're going to redo the featured galleries ASAP.
