Oh by the way, ShutterStock has disabled FAN posts on Facebook, so it has become rather boring!
I don't know why, because the more people interact, the more people will come to the page, I met many great SS photographers through the Fan page, but I don't go there anymore, because as I said....IT IS BORING !!
(this is a subliminal message to SS) |

That sucks. I just posted something and then realized it was gone right after. :-( BRING IT BACK! |

Worked once for me (2 days ago) and got lots of thumbs up and comments from friends. I think it is a great idea.
Hasn't sent update messages since. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. |

Paulprescott, Dapoopta, fan postings have always been enabled on our main Facebook fan page. It's a different page than the one where the Shutterstock Facebook app resides.
Visit http://www.facebook.com/Shutterstock and click on the blue button that says "Shutterstock + Fans" and you'll see a lot of activity.
Thanks! |

I'll check it again.
*edit* silly security protocol on the computer I've got it now. |
OMG Internet Explorer 8, are there still people using PC? Get a Mac!

No, I don't want to pay more money for out of date hardware and an OS that supports less software. Windows 7 is fine for me, thanks.
All fan boying aside, I installed the app on my face book page and ticked all the boxes on both my shutter stock account and face book account but nothing seems to be showing. The apps in my account, but no posts seem to be appearing on my face book...even after some activity. Any ideas? As this is a great idea... |

Added the app. Sounds like a great idea, but seems to have bugs that must be worked out. It misreports actual number of sales, for example. Also, it misreports the images actually downloaded. I'm sure these glitches can be rectified, in time. |

Same for me. I installed it a couple of days ago, reported one sale and then nothing. All the other sales I had afterwards were not reported. |

Thanks for your comments and questions about our new Submitter App for Facebook. We’re investigating the issues reported here and will post any updates.
We’ve discovered an issue whereby if the Facebook app is disconnected from your account (either when you remove the app through Facebook or through a Facebook-generated error), your Shutterstock account is still being shown as connected, and so isn’t allowing you to reconnect. We’ll let you know when that’s been addressed.
One thing to note: The Facebook app looks for the images and videos that have been approved or downloaded within the last 24 hours. The timeframe in which those 24 hours occurs is set within your account settings. This allows you to control the time at which the automatic posts appear on your Wall, so you can tune the posts to your local time zone and determine the time of day the posts will appear. Since the 24 hours can fall across two days, the stats from a daily post may not mirror a single day's worth of stats you see within your Submit account.
When you're looking for updates made by the App, make sure to check your Facebook profile page and not your news feed or live feed, since they may not always appear there. |

Our team has made an update to the application: If you go to your Shutterstock submitter account page, https://submit.shutterstock.com/admin.mhtml#facebook_connect, you’ll now see a “Deactivate Facebook Connection” button in the Facebook area. This button will allow you to disconnect your Shutterstock submitter account from Facebook.
If you’re encountering any issues, please try disconnecting from the app using that button and then reconnecting.
Per tomtraubert’s post: If you try turning the permissions of the app on and off within Facebook’s app settings, the app won’t successfully reactivate. This is an issue on Facebook’s side. So, please just use the deactivate button, per the above. |

Thanks SS!
We´ve just started using it.
May we include a referral link into the post template? |
