Hello world...

I am having one hell of a time with uploads that gets cut off midway through (but only since last week), resubmitting the images for upload sometimes shows 2 of the same images, and then I delete one and work on the other.

Problem is that more often than not the image gets rejected with a notice of a technical problem - please resubmit

Is it possible to upgrade the Active X uploader? I see they now have a feature that resumes uploads that got cut of midway through???

Just a question...

Have you thought about using FTP? You can get 'CoffeeCupFTP' software - it's free (has a few annoying ad's - but you can get rid of those easily enough) I wouldn't use anything else, it's very simple to use, has a straightforward user interface & doesn't cut out (at least not for me) whilst uploading...
Give it a whirl... What have you got to lose?

Let me know how you get on.

FTP is so much more stable!

ActiveX seems to be problematic for some people depending on your firewall and internet provider.

FTP's a dream... I just prep my shots, bung 'em in a directory and throw the lot to the ShutterStock server - it's quick, it's easy, and it doesn't involve selecting 5-10 filenames and then waiting a-la other sites... one of them doesn't have FTP at all, and on another it only works every other time you try it... kudo's to Jon for offering the easiest method of getting images to the site...

For one and two off images, HTML has worked flawlessly for me too - the ActiveX needs IE, and I won't use that unless it's absolutely necessary, so I don't have issues with that method at all...

Cheers,
Stuart

Does the server pick up the IPTC data automatically?
