Doing my first model release form- can I sign as witness or does it need to be a third party?
Thanks |

For best results it should be a third (presumably disinterested) party. The whole point of the witness signature is to validate that the model's signature is valid and voluntary -- not coerced by the photographer.
The actual law may vary by jurisdiction; if you're going to do a lot of people shots it might be worth a brief attorney consult. You can also get a lot of legal information (and books/forms) from Nolo Press. |

If I submit a photo of myself, I figure I need to submit a release to myself. Does that need to be witnessed? |

Good subject buy the way.
What happens when you as the photograper shot a picture of your younger kids, do you, or can you sign as the gardian and witness, besides being the photographer?
Thanks,
