I think I just noticed a small bug. My home page tells me that I have 52 approved photos online, but when I go and view them, there are only 50 photos.
I have recently edited two to update my keywords (my early keyword lists weren't that good) and they have been reapproved. I suspect they have been counted twice in the number of approved photos.
A small thing now, but could get the number quite out of whack because I have a few more keyword lists to update (sorry, Jon, I know this is extra work for you, I am still learning).
Related to that, can I put in my vote for not having the photos go through a re-approval process if we change the description or keywords?
Thanks for this wonderful site!

Indeed, when you re-edit your keywords and the modification is accepted, it counts as a new accepted picture, thus artificialy inflating your number of approved images.
I'm also in favour of a more 'liberal' system of key-word editing, i.e. that the pictures after key-word modification don't have to be re- accepted anymore by the shutterstock administrators. |

I'm pretty sure there have been instances of keyword abuse, so I think it's necessary for the site to review any updated keyword list. It should be a smaller programming problem to avoid counting the re-approval for the keywords from counting towards the totals.
Remember the totals can also be thrown off because we can delete our own photos at any time. I might have had 40 approved, but only have 30 currently available if I've removed ten. |
