Oh yes, and of course Liechtenstein - but only realized after retracing my route on the map. :-)

Interesting topic. Here's my list. I have pictures in my portfolio from most:
Romania 24 years
Japan 1 year
Hungary about 1 week
Austria little more than 1 week in total
Switzerland 3.5 years and still here
Germany about 1 week
France several weeks
UK a few days
Italy about 1 week in total
Israel a few days
Netherlands 3-4 days
Belgium 2 days
Luxembourg 3-4 days
Serbia passing through
Croatia passing through
Slovenia passing through
I used to be quite impressed with my list, but looking at yours, I'm way behind. I have to start traveling more...

i used to breath a sigh of relief when ever i'd get to holland.
of all countries i've been to i was once asked who were the most enlightened people? i had to pause as bali was also an amazing place, i mean the whole country would stop on wednesdays for art projects. but i said the dutch. when asked why, i made a list of positives but it was something i couldn't describe, a look in the eye of those who befriended me and strangers alike, a kindness and intelligence of culture and education. a "knowing" which made the women more attractive. and after a long winter in repressed switzerland, it was a relieving to have a beer while watching a movie. i felt at home.

What was so attractive?
The International Broadcast Television Exposition that I had to attend one time, and customers I had to visit the other 2 times!
Much of my travel was during my time working work Companies like Ampex, BTS, Phillips, Silicon Graphics International, Scitex Digital Video, Abekas, and Accom, so as a result I did not get to see very much of the countries, unless I was there over the weekends. My longest trip, was Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Malasia, Taiwan on a 5 week trip.
So, I guess there is very little I can say about your country Wouter :-)

Was checking the lists for South Africa. Besides yourself, sfmthd and ezoom seem to be the only ones. Photos please !!!! |
I have made two trips to SA, both for pleasure, one a hunting safari, the other a driving trip from Cape town to Port Elizabeth, stopping in Stellenbosch, Kanga Caves, Titsiama forest, etc., then flew to Nelspruit, driving through Kruger park, spending a couple of days in the different camps.
Most of my images were of wildlife as that was my primary interest then, should have taken images of Stellenbosch wine district.

jeffblake,
"Just for the hell of it, and because I can, I am off to Yosemite tommorrow". Yosemite in the summer? You have my condolences!;) |
Mike Norton, (note I managed to get your name spelled correctly :-) )
Yosemite was beautiful! a mear 76 degrees up on the top of Sentinel Dome, clear skies, but of course the tourists, but I spent 4 hours up there just enjoying the scenery getting a panorama, and waiting for the the NW face of Half Dome to light up :-).
