Hi,

I have a number of frustrations with the site that I feel could be addressed. Here are sume suggestions:

1) Once I enter the submit site I can't return to the main site to search for photos. The "home" link returns to the submit home rather than the site home. I'd suggest either having a true home link or, better still, allow searching from the submit section. This is useful when looking for ideas/making sure that your idea isn't already swapped with existing photos.

2) I'd like to see my current earning at all times, not just from the detailed stats page

3) Higher earnings for popular photographs! After all, the "better" photos will be drawing more designers to the site, only fair to reward the photographers :)

Regards,

Tim

How about a Google style IE search bar... Designers wouldn't even have to the site to initiate a search....

I knew I'd forgotten an item from the list. At the moment some of least favourite photos come up on my first page. I'd really like to be able to organise my photos for when people view my photos. A simple ranking number to define the display order would suffice. It would also be nice to be able to create categories.

Well, since there is a review process and in theory every photo that is included in shutterstock is suppose to meet shutterstocks quality criteria therefore they are all "good" photos, I dont see the need to reward the top sellers just because they happen to have images that are hot at the time because of the demand for that theme. Then you start classifying people's ability and since shutterstock is an equal opportunity employer that goes against the business model.

But I wouldnt be against periodic pay raises based on a combination of time at shutterstock/how active you keep your account// etc

This could be resolved by using a tabbed browser such as Firefox (just have both sites open in the same browser window - or with IE two pages open) Also, there could be a simple link back to the photo site on the top of the page...

Not quite sure why this is such a problem - again a tabbed browser would work here...

The nature of this site rewards 'popular photographs (images, vectors etc) with higher earnings, simply because they get downloaded more often & generate more revenue that way. If your photo or image isn't popular you get no money...

I would once again like to say that I will voluntarily make a little screen app for us that logs into your SS account and gives you up to date stats on your sales (images on site, total sales, sales for month, sales for day)

If you want more, you have to go to the site and check it out, and depending on how the database is run, we can even ad the last picture sold :-D

how's that?

tarmes you suggest more money for popular photos ?

How would you feel if you also got less money for the less popular photos ?

But I've already got 0c in total from my 'least' popular photo's - unless Jon starts charging rent for their space, I don't think you can pay less... :-)

Cheers,
Stuart

Exactly!

Once again StuartE finds the words I've been looking for - what they're doing in Adelaide I have no idea...
