I think you mean two different IR wireless remotes. There are several more of other varieties. But of the two IR wireless remotes, the RC-1 has a two-position switch that let's you shoot instantly, and in the second position with timer. The RC-5 has one button for the timer, no instant release. |

Hi Forgiss,
I use the RS60E3 REMOTE CONTROLLER with my Canon 300D and it's nice and easy to use remote with 2 positions.

If you get hold of a little 'learning' remote, it's easy to generate the codes into that, and give yourself lots more range than the standard Canon remotes give, Sean... and with a good programmable remote you can do the same sort of 'delayed' tricks, by setting an 'on timer' with the shutter release as the 'on' switch...
Cheers,

Ok, some more Q's....
1) Does the button on the RC-1 wireless remote duplicates the shutter release button on the camera? i.e. Can one also press the remote button halfway to aelock, focus etc and then full down to take the picture?
2) Does the RC-1 remote also work from the back of the camera or must the remote always face the camera from the front? |
