When my family emigrated to Australia from the UK, 25 years ago, it was actually a toss up between Australia or Spain - we decided on Australia because of the language... there are a lot of ex-pat South Africans here, too... :-)

I think that for now Spain has had its day. The boom over the last 4-5 years has tripled the value of some properties. Luckily we bought one 2 1/2 years ago, but I wouldnt buy one here now...

Wise move. I wish we could move there, I would ship the whole family there...too many "points" and stuff needed nowadays. The language barrier here does my head in. No disrespect to the Spanish but here in Andalucia, 10 years ago they were mostly peasant farmers. Then with the boom, they are all peasant farmers in Range Rovers and a couple of million in the bank!!!

Well, my referred photographers have made two sales today, anyway.
And while I may feel a twinge of jealousy, seeing others' successes doesn't make me sick (I know that was a joke!) - it encourages me, because it means there are multiple buyers on the site, and they're looking. Tomorrow, it may be my photos they choose.
Or not. But it's a happy little thought-bubble, don't you think?

Oh b***er, I was joking but it did sound big-headed. It wasn´t intentional, I was kind of following the thread...sorry. I just think it is great that everyone is selling be it a small or large amount. I put about 40 of these shots on Alamy last year, all souped up to 50MB TIFFs and not a sniff...so I am really pleased that I found this site.
Positive thinking is the best attitude there is...

Awww, Nick, if you've sold any, enjoy your bragging rights. ;) The rest of us will just have to work hard and catch up!
So far, May's been pretty steady for me - one or two a day (the twos almost offset the zeros, anyway). And on the zero days, my referred photographers often make sales. Funny how we don't usually make sales on the same days...
