Well to me it has been o.k., but I still have a batch from last night that hasn't been review yet.

The only problem I have been having is the ftp uploading that has been mentioned already. Seems to be having trouble connecting and staying connected.

Nope, the problem with the uploads is on my desktop at home, but I still haven't figured out that card on my laptop.

When only part of the batch gets reviewed, does the rest of it remain in your account under "Waiting to be reviewed"? If not, what happens to it?

I discovered what was happening.

"someone" was extremely busy DE-Categorizing ALL of my batches that I had uploaded!

what would happen would be one batch would only have half go through then several hours later the rest of it popped up ...when I checked the batches Low and behold ALL the CATs had been removed except for 1

NOW we have been through this several times in the last year we were told that illustrators would be given fair treatment for exposure and allowed 2 categories just the same and equal as photographers...but I guess not all reviewers know about this yet??

So I ask the fellow SS members this is NOT technology?

You are allowed one keyword in "illustration" and one in "objects." The keyword "technology" is reserved for actual photographs.

Then will someone do a purge of ALL the illustrations and photo manipulations with illustrative elements from the Technology Category??

I see illos and photo/illos pop up in there non-stop.

I think you meant "category", not "keyword"?

Could someone please summarize and explain which category is meant for what and why? Something comprehensible for "normal" humans minds please. As it is, it's already incomprehensible for native speakers - so please don't expect any foreign language submittors to understand it.

With the system, incomprehensible as it is, I don't dare to submit any illustration beyond simple backgrounds.

Oh, and no - the submitter's guidelines are NOT an answer to this. They apparently easy enough to misunderstand that apparently each submittor and each reviewer/admin has his own, different interpretation.

14 of the TOP 24 Images IN TECHNOLOGY Category ARE Illustrations.

Is there going to be a purge of these along with ALL the others or is some sort of favoritism/elitist system going to be the norm?

I am curious what other Cats are "reserved" for photos ONLY?

...and is this a reversal of what was said last year when illustrators were told they could have 2 Cats?

And if so why is it that illustrators who do conceptual work that fits into these "reserved" Cats are being treated as second class citizens exposure wise in the system.

It is a bit obvious that a fair portion of revenue is from illustrations...so it does not make sense to me.
