Hi, I'm new to shutterstock, and have been trying to upload a W8BEN tax form. According to the tax centre, as a U.K. citizen submitting as an individual, an ITIN is not required, but when I try to upload the form, it comes back with an error report, "you must enter a valid ITIN" Any suggestions of alternative ways of submiting the form would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I got that it was very irritating but when I went back on a later date and entered the form you'll notice there are two tick/click boxes and when you go in they are blank/empty. The trick is don't tick either of them and you should be able to submit the form.

Hello,

Please help me somebody! I am from tax treaty country and I pay 10% tax for Shutterstock. I also have to pay 15 % tax in my country, for the same Shutterstock income. I want to return back my 10% from USA to withhold my taxes, because it is too expensive for me to pay the taxes twice.
Can somebody help me? I filled only W8BEN form. It is also written that we do not need ITIN number, so where do I need to send the letter from Shutterstock which I got this March?

Thank you!!!

Hello people again,

I called to IRS today, they told me to fill W7 Form, they also told me that I will need to translate my passport etc. after it I need to fill 1040 NR Form and both forms send to address which is written in the W7 form information. After it I should get my TIN number and I will be able to return my taxes.
It is still very difficult process for me, I am still not sure I am working right. Some people in forums say we do not need TIN, but IRS says I need, I also will have to pay some money to translate my passport etc.
If anyone had some alike problems, did some alike procedures please let me know, I would be so thankful for any advice or help.
