I have an AI-bestand from 1300 kb. When I save it to EPS 10, its much too big (15 - 25 mb). I have one layer, I do not know how to solve this problem.
Can anybody help me? I have tried so much... |

How big is your artboard? Might want to try making your arboard smaller and then reducing your artwork to fit the new size.
I had a similar problem a few weeks ago even with scalling everything down the eps file was still over 20mb so I ended up re-doing the entire file. |

The number of objects with gradients and mesh increases the size, also the number of anchor points. Can you post the image here so that we could have a look why it could be that big? |

+1. Reduce the whole vector and artboard size. Twice or four times - it doesn't matter for buyer. It helps. |

Actually, it does. I cam make some HUGE files, and a few times when I've reduced the artwork size too much, I got a rejection something to the effect of, 'the artwork is too small, too difficult to see at highest magnification' or something like that. As an artist I know that the buyer can 'select all' and make it bigger, but maybe the reviewer needs to be able to see everything at a reasonable size, and not inconvenience the buyer. I can see why they rejected me for that. |

Well, the gradient meshes are seldom creating any problems in the file size, but transparencies and different blend modes combined with each other and gradients can. |
