My home page says they are "to be submitted." I've clicked on "edit submitted images" and added keywords and all, but when I select them to Submit for Review, I get this:

"ERROR: Your account is currently in review mode. We require that you successfully submit exactly 10 images for review. Upload more images or correct the errors below until you can submit 10."

It says all ten of my images have errors, but I can't tell what the errors are. Am I not supposed to be submitting them for review right now--because the staff already knows they must be reviewed? What do I do? I'm so confused! Thanks for your help!

Hi mway,

For information on submissions, please visit our submission guidelines.

It's possible that the photos were not uploaded correctly or that the photo files themselves need to be adjusted. Let us know if you have continued problems uploading.

Thanks!

Shutterstock notes that seven of the photos have possible keyword spelling errors (with which I don't agree). The error message says, "If the spelling is correct, make no changes and click the Submit button again"--but I don't see an option to submit again. Can you or someone explain further? The remaining three photos do not have any text about their errors, but just have little X's by the images, and I really don't understand what to do with those. As far as I know, I've followed the submission guidelines.

The error you get with the spelling is not something that must be fixed. It is a warning that some of the words may be misspelled. If they are not simply click on submit again.

Yes, but I do not see an option to submit again. I only see the same "Submit for Review" button that just starts the cycle over again and shows all my photos have errors, including the 'spelling' ones.

There is no option to submit again. The first time you hit the submit button it shows the warning. If the spelling is ok just select all and hit the same submit button again and the images should submit.

As I said, when I try to submit again, it shows the same errors. This may be due to the fact that there are at least three photos with some unexplained error. I'm guessing there must be something wrong with the images themselves (and probably all ten have the error), but I can't figure out what it is. Does anyone know what sorts of unspecified errors there would be? Or even what errors DO have text so I can eliminate these as possibilities?

Maybe it would help if you posted a printscreen of the part of submitting page with errors to show what the problem exactly is, so that experienced contributors could identify it.

Have you made sure you have selected at least one category and only have a maximum of 50 Keywords. These are the two other sources of warning I have had when submitting.

Good point! Here is a screenshot showing one photo with spelling errors followed by one with an unspecified error.

At this point, if you're happy with the keyword spelling, you should select "Select: All". That should put a check mark in the box just to the left of all of the images. Then hit "Submit for Review" and it should go through.

I swear, it doesn't go through. But since there are unspecified errors, this makes sense. I must submit exactly ten photos, and there are at least three with errors I can't figure out, so I keep ending up on the same errors page.

From the printscreen, I can see that for the second image - the skyscrapers in Los Angeles - you didnt choose Category 2, you just have the first category selected (Buildings/Landmarks).

I dont know if this is the problem - did you make sure you have selected both Categories for all ten images? I think both Category 1 and Category 2 must be chosen for each image. Im not 100% sure about that though. You could at least try it.

Or maybe its the underlined Los Angeles?

Another thing that comes to my mind is that since the first ten images must be submitted together, maybe those with unspecified errors are fine but they will show the red X until the other images with "specified" errors are fixed. Maybe the spelling errors must be corrected for the first ten? What if you removed the misspelled keywords (you can add them later to those images once you are in)?

I know it shouldnt be necessary but maybe for the first ten it works different way. Otherwise I dont have a clue what could be wrong.

The selecting of only one category is not the problem. You do not have to have two categories listed.

Select the correct spelling for closeup if you want and leave the scientific spelling the way it is as well as the spelling of Los Angeles and go to the top left "select all" then go to the top right and hit submit it should take you to the note screen and you can leave a note for the reviewer saying you have used the scientific names and hit submit all should be done.

Unless you use to many scientific names then i have noticed you have to eliminate a bunch of them to get it to take properly.
