Hi guys, I'm trying to help a guy out in Canada who has a Mac and CS5 illustrator.

What I need is the plugin for finding open paths etc and the script for closing selected paths suitable for his Mac and CS5 version of illustrator.

Anyone know the site I can get these from. Looked on the graffix site but couldn't find the script and wasn't sure on the plugin version he would need to use.

Please helpppppppppppppppp!!!!

Try this one. I don't have CS5 so I don't know how it'll function.

If I'd had read further down I would've seen that some are having issues where it's not closing the paths.

The one at the graffix site is supposed to also work in CS5 just wondering if you tried that one yet.

Dayum! That's just not right that none of those work on CS5. What the *bleep* did Adobe do to it between CS4 and CS5 to where that script won't work anymore???

I have a mac with CS5 and use the Graffix plugin - it works fine for me. Maybe worth reinstalling and trying again?

Not sure how Graffix works. It is in my menu. How can I close my open paths with this? Not sure what to do now.

Hi rixie, have you also got the 'close selected paths' script from Graffix, and if so I presume it does work on your mac?

Sorry guys, I've been playing cards this evening so have only just seen all the replies.

Hey hi there Frank

You can't close the open paths with that plugin, you can only find them. That is why we need to get you the script to close the paths as well.

Once I hear back from rixie above, maybe we can get you sorted, and I'll explain how to install and use the script via email tomorrow.

Hi Toots,

sorry, was at the cinema last night and missed your question. I have a close all/selected paths script that I got from here:

http://vectips.com/tricks/10-free-and-extremely-useful-illustrator-scripts/

There are also a couple of other useful scripts there, along with full instructions on how to install. (I know it says CS3 but I am happily using in CS5).

Hope this helps :)

Thanks so much rixie, that's brilliant.

I actually found that website yesterday but it said CS3, so I clicked off it again, but if you're using the script on CS5 then I'm happy with that.

@ Frank - we can go forward again now. Actually Frank, the site explains clearly how to install the script so go ahead with the download and install it. I'll email you a bit later my friend.

And thanks everyone for your input.
