I submitted my first 10 about a month ago and now I can submit again. But I don't want to make the mistake of having to wait another month. What pictures should I submit? Does each one have to be a different category? Does each one have to be symbolic or can they be random? |

First thing is that images need to be sharp and clear of any distractions with the best possible lighting and when viewed at 100% they must be tack sharp and they must be able to help sell or promote a concept, idea or product. |

You do not need to submit ten different categories of images. They can be of the same subject matter but they must be different in appearance. For example you can submit ten food shots but do not send in ten shots of a strawberry taken from slightly different angles. You could do a hamburger shot, one of a salad, a dessert, a fruit etc.
As Barry says they need to be technically done well which means good focus, proper use of depth of field, lit and exposed well, composed properly, have good commercial value etc.
Make sure you post them in the Critique forum before submitting them. |
