I don't quite understand how single image is different from the on-demand subscription for a single image in a year. If someone gets the $19 on demand subscription are they not allowed to purchase more than one image in a year; i.e. get more such subscriptions?

Could someone explain to me what's a $3.00 Single download ?
The very few I received so far were $5,70 (which made sense) and one $5.71 which obviously didn't make sense ;) Now I got this $3 one which is very close to what I would expect for an OD .. so what's the difference what type of a license/sale is that?
