It sounds very strong stuff you are posting here, but in absence of other going thru the same experience as you, I am inclined to believe the source of the apparent problem resides in your PC rather than at SS.
Anyways if you still think as you said "there spyware attached to SS now" and wish to offer some help, please post the info contained in the address bar, before you hit enter.
And the info in the address bar after you hit enter. |

I would scan my whole PC if I were you. Guess you have malware/spyware somewhere on your disc that is activated as soon as you start to browse (or even at start-up). It definitely is not ShutterStock.
TIP: You could download 'hijackthis' and post the log on some forum where they can help you with this. |

LuvThatVert:)I believe that what i wrote was "IS THERE SPYWARE ATTACHED TO SS NOW" Thats a question to others to see if there is anyone in the know out there, and having any of the same problems. I scanned my pc and nothing. It is only happening when i go to SS the last 2 days, and it kicks me to a differant site each time, not the same one. i just posted this last night so we will see if anyone else is having any problems. I hope not. |

Well, it would have been a question, if it had the right punctuation. There should be a question mark somewhere on your keyboard - why nor use it?
That, by the way, was a suggestion. Not a question - and it still got a question mark.
Anyway, to answer your "question": I have checked on three PCs with both IE and Firefox from different IPs and never got the re-linking you are experiencing. Chances are the trouble is on your side.
It might help if you would tell us what kind of system you are using. Win*? MAC? Linux? Something else? And what kind of browser (including the version number)? |

Setho,
It was a differant site each time. I ran a spyware program on my pc three times last night and a virus scan twice. Got rid of some spyware, but it found no virus'. However, i have been to SS numerous times today, and it has not happened today at all. Just the last 2 days for some reason. Maybe the problem is over, and it was my comp. If it does happen again i will attach the address. Thank so much for getting with me on it though. As you can see all i got was grief, and sarcasm, from the others.
Thanks much

I guess next time you must wait very long before anyone offers you their help. |

Sorry i included you in my rant htuller. The first responder ticked me off and i rambled. Then the responder after you hammered me again with sarcasm which did'nt help my response any. Sorry again, you were very nice to help. I had scanned and found nothing. Ended up scanning three times for spyware, found some, and several times for virus', and found nothing. The problem lasted 2 days, and now its not doing it anymore so who knows. Computors !!!! If you read the the other comments you can clearly see that you, and Setho, are the only ones who answered without sarcasm, and i do thank you for that and thank you for your help.
Sorry again.

sarcasm? NO, NOT AT ALL, but you are forgiven.
No sarcasm from me and the others above and no sarcasm here, but be advised people can create sarcasm if you let them know it bothers you.
Next time remember:
"Is there spyware attached to SS now."
That is a serious accusation.
Is there spyware attached to SS now?
That is a question.
See what a difference a question mark makes.
Here is more help.
Now I remember having my PC hijacked a long time ago!
Here is the solution to fix the problem.
If your PC has been infected with a virus that hijacks your address bar all you have to do in windows Xp is
go to start/Help and Support/Undo changes to your computer with System Restore/. ... and restore it to a previous date where you know you where not infected |

OK.
Otherwise try run the little program 'TrojanHunter' and/or 'Killbox' and/or 'ComboFix' (even better: a combination of them).
Those are really great (and free, except TrojanHunter but there is a free trial) and they'll find/delete so much more scamp than a normal virus- or spywarescanner does.
Other thing: if you want to scan for a virus or spyware you better first start up your PC in safe mode!
If you run Hijackthis, than you can see by yourself (in the log) if there are some strange entries. With me, for example, there were these 2 files that I had to delete with KillBox (several normal scanners didn't find them!):
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\HLDRRR.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WINTEMS.EXE
You can look in your taskmanager too (Ctrl + Alt + Delete), tab 'Processes' and see if those 2 files (or other strange files) appear in the list.
If you have them too: get rid of it, they are bad and make new windows pop up over and over again. |
