Greetings~ I am migrating from another stock site, and am trying to figure out the SS procedures. I find the vector information lacking. Or perhaps I just can't find it at all. Anyway, if we upload a vector that was based on a photograph, are vector artists required to upload the source photograph? What if it is based on a sketch I created? If so, where do we upload it? Thanks in advance.

The source photograph must be your own to base your illustration on. If not you will need to get a property release from the photographer. My knowledge is sketchy on this at best. You might need a property release also if it is your own photograph.

Others have done this more than me and they should know more about the procedures. I've never had to upload a property release here so I'm not sure how they handle it.

If no one else answers you might have to send an email to support. And I agree the vector/illustration information has changed over the last year or so and doesn't seemed to have been updated in the contributors terms section at all.

When I uploaded vectors bases on photographs (mostly silhouettes) and hand drawn sketches, they never asked me to submit some source or release. But all these were mine own. The rule is, never ever submit anything made from other people works.
