I have tried quite a few different subjects but they seem to be overdone or not quite right so I'll try another idea. Your comments would be welcome. I know that I would have to resize it but that shoud not be too much problem.(I think) Thanks

Left image: potential copyright

Right: lighting incorrect, shallow dof, composition

You would definitely have to clone out the watch maker's name on the face of the watch. But, when you look at this shot what is the first thing that you notice? It should be that it is under exposed with deep shadows.

Strictly speaking to the concept question alone images relating to time are rather common. It just may be that it is early in the morning but I am not getting the connection between the watch and time with the book.

The watch is the crop...if you open the other images you will see the contrast between analog and digital. It would require some removal of logos, but wondering how the concept communicates.

Additionally, the text on the book and the pad would be copyright, if they are actual published works.

The text is on the book is from 1800 and the ipod contains a book review, which I could replace with my own review but i would still use the book The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as a subject for literary contrast. Would that be a copyright issue?

I'd be inclined to make sure all the times are the same between the pocket watch, digital clock and ipod. As Dave keeps saying, attention to the little details. :-)

I wouldn't worry about the text on the iPhone to be copyrighted but you can't use the iPhone at all, all Apple products are not acceptable. The shape alone is enough to get it rejected. You can find that information here in the restricted image section.
