Yep thirty days.

That's what this forum is here to help you with now if you read the top thread in this forum it explains how to post your images for critique.

SS standards have gone up over the past few years and what other sites take doesn't mean anything.

I am in the same boat, most of my images have been rejected due to composition, yet I don't agree, as I believe my composition is fine in at least 5 of my images (composition is really an opinion). You said you are using another website to sell, which one is this and are you seeing decent sales?

To me composition seems fine, I think the LCV is more the problem. You have buildings, cars and interiors in your photos that need releases and or are protected. Also your selective colouring might be an issue for your first 10. For what I understand is that the reviewers have standard reasons for rejection and they might not always match the actual reason for rejection.

Anyhoo, wait for the pros to comment, thats just my humble amateur two cents.

You posted thumbnails so no need to comment until we see the actual shot and the 100% crop.

First of all you have to post them correctly. We cannot give a good critique just by looking at the little thumbnails you get with the rejection notice. Post the shots individually by following the instructions found in the first post.

From what I can see from the thumbnails you posted several of the shots are of single buildings or where one building is dominant in the shot. This is something that Shutterstock does not accept.

You also have a car in one shot which again is not allowed (much of this is covered in Shutterbuzz under the restricted image section).

Some of the other shots show composition problems that are often found when doing architectural shots such as the lines of the structures looking like they are falling in.

Other shots such as the power line tower have been done to death years ago and Shutterstock is no longer accepting them unless they are done very very well.

The composition rejection is not necessarily because the overall composition is bad, it can have several reasons for the problem.

As mentioned Shutterstock is not like other sites that will accept just about anything and different stock sites have different standards and rules dealing with what is accepted. That is why we suggest posting the shots you want to submit in the Critique forum so we can give you some suggestions and guidance.

As far as waiting 30 days you are lucky. Years back when many of us started it was a 90 day wait.

I agree with the reviewer and why the blue cast on everything? You have composition,WB and copyright issues.

The thing is most people are biast to their own Photos/footage. I had many a photo declined on here but I take the criticism on board and try to improve for the future, you just have to roll with the punches.
