Hi all,
I am Gianni, an Italian photographer based in Germany. I have just joined and I am working on my 10 photos for the submission.
I am trying not to rush as I want to prepare my photos in the best possible way before submitting. So I would like to post my photos in the forum first and I would really appreciate any suggestions and tips from the more experienced photographers here.
Here is the first one...
What do you all things about it?
Thank you very much for your help.
Gianni

Not bad but get yourself a little more dof for more sharpness over the whole image. Shoot at f8 to f11. Better if the background was all white.

Yes a white BG would do well and also if you can get more light between the bulbs.

Agree with my Comrades.next time try to use the garlic in a concept or something instead of just a straight down easy shot. more styled.

I don't know if you were going for an isolation, but if you were the background needs to be pure white or if not it would look better with a colored table cloth or something. Grey is just kind of blah.

Thanks to everybody, very useful suggestions.
I will try to make more dof and more light. Also I will try to do a white bg or a textured one.
What about the noise... what do you think of the crop?
Many thanks,
Gianni

Honestly....I would pick another subject unless you can come up with something better concept wise about how important garlic is and how good it is and good for you. Etc,Etc. just some cloves in a bowl doesn't get it done my friend.

Hi Rinder... I like and eat lot of garlic that's why I started with this subject :)
Thanks for your suggestion... I wanted just to make it something simple... but I understand your point and I will try to make a better concept of it.

Some good garlic and onion will help to keep bugs away.
