"controlled environment" does not mean controlling sales.I do not believe SS is controlling sales.
I control the environment and flow on my site and if you have a profile on a social media you control that environment within a larger controlled environment.

I never said it was not a free market. Like all free markets it's not a level field. So it may not be as simple as you put it. Which time would you like your files to get posted. Saturday afternoon or Monday Morning. Would they do the same on either day? does anyone know for sure? What about being randomly in a lightbox does that change things either way? maybe I imagine so. What about having a following of buyers that help push your stuff up the search. I can say that is an advantage that talented newer members don't have no matter how awesome they are.
It is my opinion the rule where "good work' always sells and bad work never does is more a myth. What is good today may not be tomorrow it is trend.
I must stop chatting now and get back to uploading :) |

ahah I agree, trend change, everything change, car colors, clothes, computer games, so yep stock doesn´t not have a trend but I find hard to believe a best seller would be a crappy seller tomorrow, as a small earner I have over 30-50% of my sales exact the same day as the day before and it is around all agencies.. |

With vector stock art there is trend. I have some great sellers with over 1000 dls each from the first 2 years and now faded and new ones that have gotten a 1000 in the last 2 years. Art by nature is controlled by trend. The idea of "crappy" is very subjective. I like to think of it as "not useful" images. usefulness and trend is almost more important then "good". |
