Just wondering who here uses Magic Lantern. I finally got brave and installed it. I haven't messed with it much but just disabling the AGC makes a world of difference. I can't wait to try the other features. I also like the fact that to use it, all I have to do is put the SD card in the camera. If I don't want to use it, I use a different card or restart while holding down the "Set" button. Fabulous! (I'm using it on a 550D/T2i).

(Edited because I found a new feature)

Hi pharm,

I use it too and am quite happy with it... For photography I take cheaper Transcend cards Class 6 without ML. For filming, it's ML only with fast Sandisk Class 10. The Screen seems a little sluggish but apart from that it's great.

Best,

Christian

I've noticed the sluggish, too but it's tolerable. Otherwise, I like Magic Lantern, in spite of their dire warnings/disclaimer. I especially like "If your camera breaks, you get to keep both pieces."

I have been using it on my t2i and have liked it. I definitely have not used it full capabilities yet but it seems to be working great.

I've been playing with it tonight. The focus dots and zebra stripes are fabulous! I'm really impressed.

I love Magic Lantern! Another feature that is worth checking out is the over-cranking, under-cranking abilities. I shoot at 4 FPS to save my poor shutter from the horrors of time lapse work. The dynamic range isn't as good, but it is worth checking out! (Note: you'll need the latest version to change frame rates).
