Just wondering who here uses Magic Lantern. I finally got brave and installed it. I haven't messed with it much but just disabling the AGC makes a world of difference. I can't wait to try the other features. I also like the fact that to use it, all I have to do is put the SD card in the camera. If I don't want to use it, I use a different card or restart while holding down the "Set" button. Fabulous! (I'm using it on a 550D/T2i).
(Edited because I found a new feature)

Hi pharm,
I use it too and am quite happy with it... For photography I take cheaper Transcend cards Class 6 without ML. For filming, it's ML only with fast Sandisk Class 10. The Screen seems a little sluggish but apart from that it's great.
Best,

I've noticed the sluggish, too but it's tolerable. Otherwise, I like Magic Lantern, in spite of their dire warnings/disclaimer. I especially like "If your camera breaks, you get to keep both pieces." |

I have been using it on my t2i and have liked it. I definitely have not used it full capabilities yet but it seems to be working great. |

I've been playing with it tonight. The focus dots and zebra stripes are fabulous! I'm really impressed. |

I love Magic Lantern! Another feature that is worth checking out is the over-cranking, under-cranking abilities. I shoot at 4 FPS to save my poor shutter from the horrors of time lapse work. The dynamic range isn't as good, but it is worth checking out! (Note: you'll need the latest version to change frame rates). |
