It seems that the review times may be moving faster my newest batch went up in 2 days but uploading is still like farting in the wind. |

Am I facing into my fart or does the wind carry it away?

Darn. Waited forever. Finally went through, but most were rejected because it seems I suddenly forgot how to focus. Sigh. The few that were approved have gone missing. |

Wow! Not very encouraging... I have 38 in line and counting (5 days of submitting)... hope I remembered how to focus and what is of commercial value! |

Not good news for me then !!!!!
I only started submitting again when I read that review times were back to two or three days because for some strange reason I forget everything I ever knew about composition and commercial value when the review times get any longer.
Even stranger, the reviewers don't seem to notice on other sites...... |

Previously when reviews were taking a while, wasn't the standard response somethhing like....
"blah blah blah up to seven days at busy times."?
I contact Support on the 7th day and got this response yesterday...
"Thank you for contacting Shutterstock support regarding your uploaded images.
Image uploads are reviewed Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm Eastern
Standard Time. It is typical for image reviews to take 3 business days to be
reviewed. However, during times of increased submissions traffic, the
reviewing process time may take up to 10 days. We appreciate your patience
while we process your image and/or footage submissions."
So now apparently it can take up to ten days at busy times!!! |

On a sidenote, we all know that reviews take place on weekends but the Support response states 9-5 Monday to Friday. Just wonder whether they have now changed to the 9-5 M-F hours and that is why reviews are now taking so long?
If that is thhe case and they plan on keeping to those hours they need to recruit a few more reviewers to manage the backlog and future uploads - by stopping weekend reviews they have lost nearly 20% of reviewing time so therefore will need to recruit another 15-20% of reviewers to compensate. And that is just assuming 9-5 every day and not 24/7. |

Personally, I wouldn't care how long it took to get reviewed if the rejection rate remained the same but in my experience the rejection rate increases massively whenever the review time gets to more than a few days. |
