Construction on the New Home of Vegas Vision Studios is well under way. The 40x25 2 wall cyc is now ready for instalation of the sweep and should be complete and ready to start shooting on by early next week.

cyc is 40x25 with a 40x10' gated equipment cage behind it. To give a sense of scale this photo was taken approx. 75' from the back cyc wall and the support beam in front of the cyc is actually 28' from the wall

A look from about 50' shows a little clearer the cyc area. Cyc is situated to allow drive on / off access of a 17' panel truck without having to make a 3 point turn to exit

Here is the overall floor plan for the full facility which should be up and running April 2, 2012

Will you be shooting cars in that space Bobby? I have an acquaintance through the ASMP who has a smaller space than your new studio. I visited his studio a few times and this is the set up he uses to shoot cars, motorcycles, etc. It is a bit more complex when he is really shooting. The top reflector drops down on a pulley system.

We will be doing automotive work in the new space. I have seen this system before but have not decide yet if we will do something similar or mount a rolling softbox over head.

Our cyc will also be equipped with baby pins every 2' around the top for attaching lighting we may just go with 4 strobes and a silk

Now that will be fun work Bobby, I would love to visit someday when you get your own system perfected.

On one of the days I visited his studio he also had softboxes mounted on booms set up on rolling dolly's as he focused on specific parts of the car such as the interior etc. Probably not as large as the system you are thinking of.
