It seems to be sharp. I think there is some fringing on the ridge/top of the mountains (in the crop).
And personally I think the hill of dirt on the right side is distracting and the road might be a bit underexposed to get the sky right.

Exposure seems a bit under also My advice when doing a common shot like this which BTW we all have done is drop down More. Mine which sold fairly well and was done years ago was about 5 inches from the pavement. It adds More scale to the scene instead of looking Like you stopped your car, Got out and snapped a picture.Think composition.

I took this shot from 2 ft distance to the ground. I have 7 shots from -3 to +3 so i can correct the exposure of the road not a problem. My big problem i had in my previous shots were the focus and i wanted to know if that was taken care here.

Looks like you nailed the focus for the mountains, how did it look closer up, I mean the road surface?
I took the libery of playing a little with your image to make it a tiny bit more interesting

The first one you posted has better focus than the second one, but as others have mentioned, the foreground is too dark. I'd recommend brightening the foreground from that exposure, instead of blending the first with the second (you should be able to do it without making it look too noisy/crappy, I think).

First make a copy of the background (second layer)
Next make a layer mask (reveal all) paint in the lower half of the image,to reveal the orginal layer below.
Next select the original layer and increase the Sat, use the Dodge brush with "Highlights" selected and paint in the bushes to brighten them a tad, also used it to lighten the streaks in the road surface, and the colored lines either side (white and yellow).
Then took the sponge set on vibrance and painted in the small hill to the right, the yellow line and the bushes some more.
Flatten, sav3e :-)

Don't know why but for me it miss the yellow line in the middle of the road.....

Ok i redone the first image and got the exposure of the road done correctly. Let me know which one of these is good and does any of these make it as one of my next ten
