Thats best advice. But there are rare times when the gods aren't with you. so You make something from Nothing a collage or composite. Of The top 50 Images here, I would say 80% are composites. Thats just the way it is. And the reason I said learn processing But Learn Basic straight Photography First. All I did to your Image was drop down the levels and pumped up the Saturation to make it look Like Late afternoon and then Simply dropped a sky In from my sky folder of about 1600 different skies. Most of us Have such a folder. Google replacing a sky in Photoshop, Theres a ton of different ways.

Best post I've read in critiques so far! you just described stock, it don't matter how you got there, as long as the end result has CV.

Correct, for at least 3 years , they want Big,bright and clean. The days of Make money with pictures on your hard drive are LONG GONE.The last few years it's been Photoshop meets Photography Big time. Actually a lot of former Graphic designers are in the game now.

Yep. It's just to show how it should look like. Things like this is tough to fix quickly.

Thanks, I did a rough job of the tree on a third layer to keep the green in it, but agree with Laurin, the image is better without it.

I just love taking those "Biblical skies" ;-) In case the OP does not understand we the most prolific writers in the forums probably have a 1000 different sky images of every color to add to our images as we feel neccesary. That sky worked particulalry well with your image, but my original sky was flipped horizontally, so it was neccesary to flip it to make the sun position correspond to the shadows in your image, the all important factor when replacing skies, and the reason one needs so many different skies.
