Hi,
I'm using Cyberduck and Filezilla. Both stop uploading at the same file size of 434 megs. I've turned off Automatic FTP Processing as some have suggested, but to no effect.
In the Footage Guidelines it says the limit is 60 seconds, but my larger clips are around 30 seconds. I didn't see anything about a size limit (in megabytes), just a time limit (in seconds) and mine are barely half the running time limit.
Anyone else having larger files timing out?
Thanks

I did at over an hour, but then I got them through when I went from slow DSL to high speed optical. Nothing positive or official, but for me it wasn't size, it was some kind of time issue.
Just uploaded a short clip which didn't appear. Uploaded again on a different computer (the mule I use for uploads) and it didn't appear. I wonder if it's flawed size, too small or something and the server checks and rejects.
May not be your problem, might not be my problem. A lot of guessing, but do you have access to higher speed internet that you can do a test and see if it's timing out?
How long does the upload take?
Oh, another thing. I had one two days ago, come up with an upload error. ftp said that, I just turned off the computer and went to edit the two clips that did work. The "error" file was there and fine.
I've also seen file size variances, between what ftp was uploading, the real size and what was on the servers. And those files worked and got reviewed.
No answer, sorry, just a guess, How long?
I use ws_ftp and it's been very good. Seems the issues are hit and miss and could be SS servers, upload handling in between (the Internet itself), our software. I can't blame SS because mine work and some other people do too, but some people have no problems anywhere except here.
Great Mystery!

It might have something to do with the passive mode of the connection. Try setting the keep connection alive ping commands so the connection wont time out.

Thanks! I think you're right, it's a timing issue not size. Using Cyberduck, I found that when it stops uploading if I wait for a while it will eventually give me a message that says the upload failed. If I close that message window, now Cyberduck has the "Resume" button enabled and I can finish the upload.
I resumed the upload and got my clips uploaded. I can see them in the upload folder with Filezilla, but not in my account. I had disabled automatic processing, so I assume they are somewhere waiting for me to manually process them. But where that is, is a mystery...
It's like an Easter egg hunt, Happy Easter!

It takes a while for FTP uploads to come through.
NOTE: It may take up to 45 minutes for our automated system to prepare your images for the keywording process -- please be patient after uploading.
They will appear in your submitted photos section.

I am getting the same problem. It gets to 100% and then tells me it failed. I have sent an email to SS and I hope they reply. I cannot get anything though.

If I resume the transfer in cyberduck after it fails, I can complete the upload. Files under 430mb process ok. But files over 430mb sit in the ftp directory and don't process, even after a couple of days. If you find a solution post it here please. Thanks for the reply!

Anyone know if this issue has been resolved or is the file limit 434meg?
