I say the river/river bank. The horizon is your constant not the bridge. Bridges can be built going in almost any direction but the horizon needs to appear to be as flat as the world was in 1491. If you do as Barry pointed out the river/river bank will most likely be level.

Who dares to argue with Mike, one of the masters here of nature photography ;)
I would also go for the river bank, on instinct.

Make that landscape photography. To me nature means animals and I don't photograph animals.

My apologies sir Norton, Landscape Photography it is;)

No apologies necessary, I jut don't want any false advertising out there. ;)

Yeah, kinda like cars are automobiles and trucks are automobiles but trucks aren't cars. Landscapes are nature and animals are nature but animals aren't landscapes.

Wouldn't it just be easier if you shot both Mike like me, then you wouldn't need to keep all this straight in your mind, you don't see me confused over semantic riddles LOL!

The silly animals won't do what I want them to do and stand still for 15 seconds so I can shoot them with the 4x5. I don't have the patience to get up at dark 30, to go sit in a blind and hope that an animal comes by. You might say that's no different than getting up at dark 30 to go stand out under the stars and wait for the sun to come up. The difference is that I know the sun is going to come up and I'm pretty sure that the animal is going the other direction.

Well I do have 2 images of animals on the SS and here they are.http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/51753/51753,1268604181,1/stock-photo-the-snake-river-and-mt-moran-at-sunrise-in-grand-teton-national-park-wyoming-48686506.jpg

There are 2 lines, they look like clouds, between Mt. Moran and the moon. It is actually two flocks of geese that were flying through the composition. Animal motion got me on that one.

In this image, if you look in the bottom right corner, just below the trail you can see a deer. I'm gonna need a little bit longer lens to do this animal thing right!

You should definitely include "deer" in your keywords!

Kidding. But not too much.... on that site where you can see what keywords the buyer searched under, it's sometimes surprising which ones are used.

LMAO Mike, I started to get a magnifying glass to see if I could see the geese or the deer (bear), but decided it was unnecessary.

The geese are just a line, I know they are geese because I was there, the deer is very small and a Native American tribe called Devils Tower the Bear Lodge.

I bet it was a spear, they gave up on hunting deer and figured it's more fun to hunt Mike, the nature without animals landscape photographer.
Next time clone the deer into the sky so we can see it more clearly.

Good luck on your next visit!
