Hi guys,
Me again, normally I dont have a problem with SS rejections but these have me puzzled. The last thing I expected these to be rejected for is composition.
Maybe the pros can tell me what I have done wrong here.

Maybe they hit the wrong button, I could see LCV more than composition. Flowers are done to death and unless they are something really special I think they get rejected. I'm not sure about the graffiti I had a bunch of backgrounds like that rejected awhile back I think they just don't need stuff like that right now. But that is all in the opinion of the reviewer so why don't you resubmit them and see if you get someone who has a different opinion.
I think you just got a lazy reviewer that hit one rejection reason for all the photos instead of putting the right rejections for each image. It can be frustrating for those of us trying to figure out how to get our images accepted.

The problem is Ron that you tend to bite when people ciritque you, even when you ask for it. Anyway, who cares?
Rapeseed - point of view wrong, shoot looking along top of crop to show lines and contrast of yellow against blue sky.
Tulips - background distracting, bright spots, blown highlights, flower bottom left cropped, eye drawn away from main flowers
BSOD - outdated, composition wise there is no base to the screen, it just hangs there floating in mid-air.
Graffiti shots - bush on right, pipe on right, too small in frame.
All look snapshotish I'm afraid. Check top sellers first mate, make yours look rushed and not thought out.

The Rapeseed field is too centered.
Tulips cropped to tight need more room for copy space.
original.jpg needs more copy space.
Monitor showing BSOD.jpg is a windows Blue Screen of death so copyrighted by someone.
The two graffiti will get hit with copyright.

Thanks everyone.
Barry, thats what I expected, copyright, not composition,
Anyhoo, not sure how to leave room for copyright on the tulips.
And I followed this example for the rapeseed.

I was thinking in the same lines Jenn. The composition rejection had me wondering.
Thanks.

Just because the rapeseed one you posted has been accepted does not mean it will sell, look at the top sellers for rapeseed.
Having said that, the one you posted would be more likely to sell than yours as it is brighter and more accurately exposed, yours looks a bit dull and flat, lack of contrast maybe.

Sure, thanks. I will look at the contrast and otherwise I will do a reshoot, because I like the rapeseed for sure.

I have to agree with all of this comment, I had decided not to comment on any more of your photos anymore but when no one else did I decided to anyway. Even then I didn't say what I truly wanted to, I think my comment would have read more like matt's if I had.
I don't have anything against you although I feel you may not like me very well. All of my comments have really only been to try to help you. I think at some point though you have to trust your own instincts and not rely on the critique forums so much.

The only time I snapped was in the thread when I was just happy I had my focus sorted. The comments in that thread were very personal and hurt me as a person.
Other than that I have taken all critique on board.
But I get the message. Thanks for all your efforts. Between the comments from you, Matt and Laurin, I guess this is the end of the critique forum for me.
