Hi everyone,
I have just been accepted to Shutterstock and wanted to say a quick hello and to also ask a couple of questions.

I have had my vector illustrations accepted, though how long does it take for them to appear in searches etc. At the moment, on my home page it says I have 2 active images (instead of the 9 accepted) and then when I click 'your image gallery' it says I have none. I know these are probably very stupid questions and so I must apologise!

The other thing is that I am worried my illustrations aren't showing as vectors. I noticed when I uploaded them they had a vector watermark to them, but when I searched for another vector image by another artist I noticed their work was titled 'Stock Vector Illustration' whereas mine is 'Stock photo'. Is there a way of changing this?

Sorry for the stupid questions and thanks for the help!

Were they accepted for your submission portfolio, or for the online portfolio?

Sometimes it has taken a day or two for newly accepted images to show up. Some sort of glitch, and not frequent.

The images were the ones I submitted to be accepted. Do I now need to re-upload these so they are placed within the image bank?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Dan,

Congratulations on getting accepted! If you are having the "Stock Photo of" banner at the top, that means it was accepted as a RASTER. Sometimes if the system screws up the EPS file, the raster you uploaded with it gets approved as a "stock photo" (raster) file. Upload the EPS and JPG together again to get it in as a vector. You can definitely upload both versions, some buyers like EPS files, some like JPGs.

Good luck and keep up the good work!

No, they should go right in. Don't upload them again or you'll get rejected for "already in your port." Some submitters are having trouble seeing their newly-approved images in their ports, it can take days for them to show up, its some bug in the system that they're aware of.

Nice stuff. I can tell you've got some great stuff ahead of you.
All your images are fine except "A vector illustration of a man" The guy drinking sodas is a raster.
There's nothing wrong with this but If you want him up there as a vector I would continue working on other vectors for the time being then when you've got a few to upload you can upload him again as a vector . You could leave the raster up there I believe or delete it ..it's up to you.
