Hi everybody

I think this photo is LCV and noisy (due to long expose) but need some advises to prepare for next time taking thunder photos. I don't have a lightning trigger so I use tripod and remote to took this. (Very inefficient, I know)

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you in advance

I don't think the image is that bad. The way I shoot lightning images is to put the camera on a tripod, open the shutter and wait for the lightning. After a strike or two, I close the shutter. That's probably what you did. My only suggestion would be to try and wait for several strikes before you close the shutter.

I think there is too much dead space above the strike but it is a good shot

Nice, downsize slightly or reduce noise.

Good luck!

Since Perry (pharm) missed his chance at a bit of nit-picking, I'll do it for him: you can't shoot thunder; thunder is a sound.

(I realize the OP's isn't writing in his native language; hope the free English lesson isn't taken amiss.)

To paraphrase Laurin: Shoot the lightning!

A. Ducks aren't allowed here.
B. I was going to mention the thunder thing but realized it was a non-native English speaker so I let it go because I'm such a nice guy.
C. I'm not sure you're correct about not being able to shoot thunder. After all, algorithms speak to me...I've GOT to change medications!!!

Yes, I'm non-native English speaker.
But I am trying my best making my grammar and terms correctly :-)

Finally I edited this lightning image and sent it day before yesterday. Before this, another edited footage was approved :-)

Thank you all
