I must admit the key to my punctuality is google calendar.
you can link your calendar account to your phone, ipad, computer, make changes from anywhere and you get reminders and can send event invitations so your clients get reminders.
I remember before this I would use post-its and a note book and everything was a mess.
it's like having a free personal assistant.

side note...lesson of the day.
Today I arrive on location to photograph a business, when I'm finishing up I pack my stuff in my car and this homeless looking guy approaches me. I'm guessing he was either going to ask me for change or to tell me about how he used to be a photographer in his youth. he comments on how he likes my 5d2 so I go on to telling him about it's cool features when all of a sudden he whips out his 5d2 with a massive EF 400mm f/4 DO IS USM. I was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaat! it was magnificent.
thats like a $6,500 lens. just then it starts pouring so I tell him to stay dry as I start my car to leave. I'm still in awe.

That is so sad. :(

I mean, it MUST mean I will never be one. You know, photographer.

You see, the only calendar I use is the tiny one with someone else's horse pics on it, hanging on the wall.

And, my phone is a tiny old bar phone that doesn't do email or calendars, or anything else fancy. It's just a phone.

I don't have an iPad, either. I can't see what I could use it for.

I never send any sort of invitations to anyone either, nor do I have clients.

Actually I don't even have reminders for myself because well, the only place I need to remember to be is at work. I think I remember to go there without a reminder... Yeah, *I think*.
Until the day comes when I decide that I don't want to remember to get there. I don't think I need a reminder for that, either. If it happens, then, well... it happens...

It does sound like the homeless looking guy had his priorities straight, though ;) EXCEPT for the fact that he was carrying a Canon. Should have been a Nikon if you ask me.

But then.... I'm never gonna be a photographer, so what do I know.

:P

Probably a NATGEO guy doing an undercover photo essay of homeless in whatever city you were in.

Not with a 400mm DO lens, they get nasty internal reflections when you take pictures of headlights and light bulbs. Maybe good for candid work. Hey how about a PI doing some bird dogging?

I have a calender too, it's about 3x6 fits into my pocket, whatever I'm wearing. Uses no batteries... month at a glance on each turn of a page. No Internet needed either.

Or you could write it in a diary. ;-)
